Rijksdienst Caribisch Nederland

Rijksdienst Caribisch Nederland is the link between the ministries which are represented on the islands Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba. Each ministry itself is responsible for the introduction and implementation of the policy of the ministry concerned. For the proper implementation and for support they call on the central services of Rijksdienst Caribisch Nederland.

Rijksdienst Caribisch Nederland offers these central support services for all active ministries on the three islands. Central support comprises the role of official employer, business operations such as facility management, housing, ICT, human resources and training. The Central Government in the Netherlands has 11 ministries. These ministries work on bills, regulations and policy plans. Not all ministries are represented directly on the islands Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba. In the bar on the left you can find all information of the ministries on the islands.

'It is important to know that 90% of the positions within the Central the Rijksdienst are filled by local staff. Finding as much as possible local personnel is an important starting point for the government'.

Five years have passed by now in the new structure. Becoming part of the Netherlands in the form of a Public Entity is a new construction, which means looking for the right balance with each other. A lot has happened during these past 5 years. Considerable progress has been made but there certainly still are some matters to be indicated which require attention in the near future. The population, the local government and executive councils and the government in the Netherlands; ‘Continue building a future together’.
